HOSSAIN is a coming-of-age story set in the Rohingya refugee crisis. Filmed over the course of a year, this feature documentary follows six-year-old Hossain Johar as he fills his days with grand adventure while living in the world’s largest refugee camp in Bangladesh. But soon, the crisis around him grows dire when deadly monsoons hit and a controversial deal is made to return his people to Myanmar. The film has received support from the IDA, BAVC, and was a finalist for the AmDocs Film Fund.
